Fines for Failing to Comply

Since the 1st July of 2021, if a new or renewed tenancy is signed for a Glenside rental property, all Healthy Homes compliance work need to be done within 90 days.

Glenside Healthy Homes Compliance Timeframes

Tenancies established between 1 July 2019 to 30 , June 20,21

  • Underfloor and ceiling insulation is mandatory throughout Glenside and New Zealand rental houses where it is reasonably practicable to put in.
  • A Healthy Homes Statement of Intent to Comply as well as an Insulation Statement, and an Insurance Statement must be included in any renewal, new or altered tenancy contract.
  • Property managers and landlords must keep records of their conformance with each Healthy Homes Standards that apply or will apply to your rental home.

From July 1st 2021
